I suppose it’s time to get back on the wagon. The Mogwai post will be coming on a Monday in the near future folks. You can decide whether it’s mellifluent or not.

Anyway. For those of you who are missing a certain someone and can’t wait a week or so to hear the dulcet tones of his voice, I’d suggest watching a few of these Let’s Play videos by one Deceased Crab:

Besides being entertaining all on his own, Mr. Crab sounds much like my good friend Jon. It wasn’t until the gentleman mentioned there was a feline in his presence that I was certain that this wasn’t who I had suspected was behind the numerous humorous clips.

For those of you who don’t know, Let’s Play is where one vicariously experiences a video game, be it via console or PC, through the recordings of another player. Some are good, most are not. In my opinion Deceased Crab is one of the best LPers around. I can’t help but think though that the similarity of his voice, humor and wit to a friend I haven’t seen in nearly two years has a lot to do with my assessment.

A post of note…

…although it’s not one of mine. I am working on posts of my own but they’ll also vary on a scale of originality. In any case, here’s an interesting article which poses the question: Ever wonder what it would be like to play Final Fantasy VII on the original Nintendo Entertainment System?

For those of you lacking in curiosity, who may not wish to download the rom and play the game yourself, there are plenty of screenshots in the article itself. Myself, I only fought two battles before I gave up. I suppose I might have played the game a little longer if it hadn’t been in Chinese.

Catching Up…

will have to wait for later. April is the cruelest month since it leaves the next month without any blog entries. Yes, I am in fact blaming a month for my lack of posting. And no, it’s not just because I’m lazy. Well…maybe. Actually, it most certainly is because I’m lazy.

How did the victim in Se7en who was guilty of Sloth die? I’m too lazy to look up but that’s what I deserve.

And yet in spite of my sin I looked it up after all and I amend my previous statement and declare that I do not deserve to be tied to a bed for a year or so. In any case, thank you Jon for kicking me in the pants so I’d get off my…pants…and post.

In any case this is more or less a placeholder until I finish conceptualizing the posts I have in mind. Topics will include such notables as: Charles Bukowski beating his wife, reading comics, how my American Idol wannabe neighbors are gone, my disappointment with the latest Eco book, and most importantly, the news of a boost in terms of internet speed. 6mbps! woot!
